# Dil Hoom Hoom Kare – Bhupen Hazarika
22nd August 2018: The song captures the essence of the movie. Shanichari is in love with the ‘Thakur’, but social and cultural norms would never let them be together. The lines ‘Oonchi tor attari’, is one of the most touching lines describing their caste and social differences. It also shows the unwillingness of the ‘Thakur’ to go against the society. I liked this song, but fell in love with it, even more, when I heard a blind kid sing it on a TV show. It is a heartache for sure.
# Aur Kya – Alka Yagnik & Abhijeet
22nd August 2018: Featuring the voices of Abhijeet and Alka Yagnik, Javed’s poignant lyrics and Jatin-Lalit’s flowing music make this a beautiful love song. Once again Alka Yagnik’s melodious voice echoes and makes you forget the world.
# Careless Whisper – George Michael
30th March 2018: This is one of the first classics that I heard. I caught this one on the late night radio on a wintery night. Whenever I hear it, it takes me back to the moment and the serenity.
# Hume Jabse Mohabbat – Sonu Nigam & Alka Yagnik (Border)
30th March 2018: I love this song because of its ethereal lyrics. Written by another legendary writer Javed Akhtar, the song takes you to a beautiful and romantic daydream which you wish never ends.
# Wicked Game – Chris Isaak
9th March 2018: The ultimate love song… Probably the best song I’ve heard till date.
